Class Description

5 Week* Homeschool Sew and Stitch on Tuesdays with Michele 2-3:30pm This fun, hands-on homeschool sewing class is designed for students ages 7–18. Students will learn both hand stitching and machine sewing while creating several projects on a simple, easy-to-use sewing machine. All supplies are included. The session meets from September 1 through October 6 for a total of six classes, while tuition covers five sessions. The final class on October 6 is included as a bonus class or make-up opportunity. Students are welcome to attend all six classes; however, no additional make-up classes will be offered. Students will practice hand and machine sewing each week and may create projects such as felt-and-button designs, sit-upon strips, pin cushions or button jars, handkerchief pouches, embroidery hoop projects, upcycled pillows, plushies, lunch bags, sequin embroidery, and heart purses with buttonholes. Classes are held on the second floor. The studio does not have an elevator, but teacher assistance is available for students who need help climbing the stairs.
