Class Description

The Goblet Wheel: Pottery Throwing Class with Emily Scott Sundays 5-7pm January 18, February 8th and 15th Come and play on our pottery wheels with artist Emily Scott helping along the way. First; throw 2-3 small bowls (the goblet) and 2-3bases (the stems) and Emily will attach once leather hard. Choose your glazing colors and in 3-4 weeks pick up your one-of-a-kind goblets ready to use! This single pottery wheel class is perfect for beginners, novices, or intermediate throwers - and feel free to bring your friends for an extra fun time. Fine details: - Students create all the work but Stephenie is on hand to lead, guide and assist along the way. - Studio glazes your piece with your chosen finish - Pick up your work 3–4 weeks later (we’ll contact you) - All materials provided - Wear comfortable clothes (clay washes out), tie back long hair, and trim extra long nails - We're serving wine and snacks - All attendees need a ticket - Choose your date carefully as we cannot move or alter your date (no refunds offered but feel free to gift your session to a friend if you cannot attend) - Pottery left over 30 days will be donated to Empty Bowls McKinney - Expect 90 minutes on the wheel, plus set up and clean up. Adults only but mature teens (must be 15) may attend with their parent.
