A creative workshop for reawakening, restoring and sustaining your creative flow by Veena Kashyap

75 US dollars

Class Description

The Flow State™ A creative workshop for reawakening, restoring and sustaining your creative flow. Sunday, January 17, 2027 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM "The real work of the artist is a way of being in the world." Rick Rubin, The Creative Act The Flow State™ is a three-hour experiential workshop for creatives who want to understand what helps them access and sustain their creative flow. Creative flow is the state we embody when we create. When the nervous system is regulated, creation becomes more fluid and ideas can move more freely. When it is not, we can feel frozen or disconnected from the work we want to make. The workshop is led by Veena Dogra Kashyap, a writer, artist and yoga teacher with more than 2,000 hours of training and nearly ten years of teaching experience. She is also the founder of Next Premise and creator of OSA™ (Outcome, State, Action), the framework that underpins The Flow State™. The session follows a four-part arc: Arrive. Identify the creative work you want to move forward and the outcome you want from the session. Assess. Complete the online OSA™ assessment to identify your creative profile and explore your current creative state. Regulate. Use guided breathwork and meditation to settle the nervous system into a focused, flow state. Create. Work on your own piece from that regulated state and leave with practices you can use independently. You do not need to be a professional artist or writer or arrive feeling particularly creative. Bring something you would like to move forward: a painting, story, poem, sketch, idea or simply the desire to create. What to bring: A phone or tablet for the assessment and something to work on during the creative portion. Writers may bring a notebook or laptop. Visual artists should bring their preferred work surface and basic supplies. The Flow State™ is educational and practice-based. It is not clinical, diagnostic or therapeutic. Bring your curiosity and an open mind to discover what becomes possible when you change the state from which you create. Veena Dogra Kashyap is a writer, artist and yoga teacher who spent twenty-seven years inside enterprise technology. She is the founder and CEO of Next Premise, where her work explores how State is integral to achieving intended outcomes. Her creative practice spans writing, including her essay series The Long Exhale, poetry and abstract painting.

Celebrating Our Artists!

We love capturing the magic that happens in our studios! During classes and activities, we may photograph or film the creative process to share the joy of art-making with our community through our website, social media, and other materials.

Your young artist's privacy matters: For our students under 18, we're extra thoughtful about when and how we share photos, always keeping their safety and your family's comfort in mind. Let us know at any time if you'd prefer to stay out of the spotlight – we completely understand and respect your choice.

Joining our creative community helps us inspire others to discover their artistic potential. Thank you for being part of our story!
