Experience an evening of creativity and relaxation with our Sip & Throw Pottery Nights, your go-to destination for an unforgettable adult pottery class. Perfect for date nights, group outings, or a chance to explore your artistic side, this engaging Why Choose a Pottery and Wine Class? Imagine unwinding with your favorite drink in hand (we’ll be serving wine but bring your fave) as you experiment with new techniques at the potter’s wheel. A pottery and wine class seamlessly blends fun and functional skills, giving you a relaxing space to socialize and get creative. Set in a laid-back environment, our Sip & Throw Pottery Nights strike the perfect balance between learning and leisure—no pressure, just plenty of support and encouragement to help you discover the rewarding art of pottery. Fine details: - Students create 4 items (and keep your best 3) - Studio finishes your work with the glaze of your choice - Pick up 2-3 weeks later (we will call or text to advise) - Wear comfortable clothes, clay washes out of everything - All materials provided - Long hair should be tied back and extra long nails should be trimmed - We're serving wine but feel free to bring your own plus a corckscrew - All attendees need a ticket to attend - Choose your date carefully as we cannot move or alter your date (no refunds offered but feel free to gift your session to a friend if you cannot attend) - Pottery left more than 30 days will be donated to Empty Bowls McKinney - Class is 2 hours but expect 90 minutes of wheel time, 5-10 minutes of set up and 20 minutes of clean up at the end. What to Expect in Our Adult Pottery Class During each session, you’ll refine your wheel-throwing skills and learn best practices for working with clay. First with wedging, centering and pulling the walls into the perfect shape (or an approximation of the perfect shape!) - you’ll have a blast creating bowls, cups, plates and small salt dishes perfect for your home. By the end of the evening, you’ll not only have unique pottery pieces to take home (after glazing and firing) but also great memories laughing and bonding over shared creativity. We provide all the materials you need, including clay and pottery tools, so you can focus on what's important—sipping, socializing, and honing your craft. Feel free to bring a friend or come solo; our welcoming community loves meeting new people.
