Class Description

SEL: Social, Emotional Learning Art with Special Art teacher Betsy Tillett Semester long class on Thursdays September 10 - December 17 1 - 2pm Ages 8-12 (younger children may attend our earlier sessions) Geared toward Social, Emotional and Learning needs Special Art is our brand new social and emotional learning art class led by professional facilitator Betsy Tillett. This art class is geared toward our students needing a bit more care and a slowed down curriculum. This semester long program will cover nature art, hands on creativity, lessons on color theory and even a Modern Master study. Led by our Certified Early Childhood Special Education teacher, Betsy Tillett. She loves to teach children to love and appreciate nature, and to love and embrace themselves for who they are, to guide them in building their inner confidence , to encourage positive self-talk, to help them identify their unique strengths , and equip them with the tools they need to practice self-care and mindfulness through yoga, journaling, craft activities, art and much more.
