Class Description

5 Week Beginning Watercolor for Kids and Families Saturday, October 31 - December 5 (No class on November 28) 9am - 10am Join Beth Matlock in this engaging and hands-on painting with watercolors class geared towards kids, families, and all ages (minimum age is 6). Participants will learn the fun and unexpected way that watercolor works. Each class will begin with learning several watercolor techniques and will end with the opportunity to explore some of the many ways these techniques can be used. This is a very supportive and encouraging class and allows children and their adults to learn and explore a new creative avenue together. Come relax and let those creative juices flow. You will learn: -The fundamental way that water affects the outcome with watercolor paints -The difference between paint brushes and brush strokes -Experimenting with household objects and the effect they have -And encouraging questions and exploration All materials are included, any and all personal supplies are encouraged to be brought to class, and students will also be provided information about purchasing their own paints if wanted.
