Class Description

Fused Glass Wind Chime Workshop Saturday March 14 10am - 12noon or 1-3pm 10:00a Designed for adults of all skill levels, our Fused Glass Wind Chime Workshop introduces the basics of glass fusing in a relaxed, supportive setting. With guidance from Deanna Smith, an experienced instructor, you’ll design and assemble 4 custom wind chimes using colorful glass pieces. Optional materials like beads, wire, and natural elements will also be available to help personalize your art works. Available to pick up after firing in approximately 2-3 weeks. Minimum of 3 per class. Please wear closed toed shoes. Beginners welcome! All tools and glass provided and this workshop is recommended for adults and mature teens (mature teens may take this class with a parent or guardian in attendance, only). Space is limited. Fine Details: Glass Fusing is creating fused glass art with melting glass through heating in a special glass kiln. The process of snipping, cutting, sanding and applying colored glass to create wind chimes is addicting. Students work under the guidance of the wonderful Deanna Smith.
