Class Description

Fused Glass: Plant Stakes Workshop Saturday May 2 10am - 12noon or 1-3pm Make up to 3 unique and original plant stakes for your favorite plants! Learn fundamental glass fusing techniques in a darling and welcoming art studio, with step by step guidance from Deanna Smith, an experienced instructor. Students always choose their color palettes, designs and create custom art. Students learn to cut, trim and add glass bits to create stunning results. Art works are ready about 2-3 weeks later after firing. Please wear closed toed shoes. All tools and glass provided and this workshop is recommended for adults and mature teens (mature teens may take this class with a parent or guardian in attendance, only). Space is limited. Fine Details: Glass Fusing is creating fused glass art with melting glass through heating in a special glass kiln. The process of snipping, cutting, sanding and applying colored glass to create plant stakes is addicting. Students work under the guidance of the wonderful Deanna Smith.
