Class Description

Fused Glass: Frit Design Saturday May 30 10am - 12noon or 1-3pm Do you want to work with imagery, patterns, layering glass frit? Design and assemble your own 8 x 10 inch fused glass piece using a vibrant palette of frit in different sizes and shades. The process is similar to using glitter. It's a fun process with lots of room for creativity - bring a printed design if you have one or just an idea. Learn how to create imagery, patterns, and designs by layering frit and bits of glass. No prior experience is needed! Finished pieces will be kiln-fired after class and ready for pickup within 2-3 weeks. Minimum of 3 per class. Please wear closed toed shoes. All tools and glass provided and this workshop is recommended for adults and mature teens (mature teens may take this class with a parent or guardian in attendance, only). Space is limited. Fine Details: Glass Fusing is creating fused glass art with melting glass through heating in a special glass kiln. Students work under the guidance of the wonderful Deanna Smith.
