2-hour glass fusing workshop with Deanna Smith, offered October 29, November 7 & 28, and December 5.
Class Description
Glass Fusing Christmas Ornaments Join in the amazing process of creating one of a kind family heirlooms. Students create up to 4 glass fused ornament with cutting, sanding, placing and working with artist Deanna Smith to learn the steps of glass fusing. Thursday: October 29 10am-12noon or 1-3pm Saturday: November 7 or 28 10am-12noon or 1-3pm Saturday: December 5 10am-12noon or 1-3pm No previous experience is necessary! After the workshop, your finished glass artwork will be kiln-fired and ready for pickup in approximately 2–3 weeks. Please wear closed-toed shoes. All glass, tools, and materials needed for the workshop are provided. This class is recommended for adults and mature teens; teens may participate when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Space is limited. Fine Details: Glass fusing is a creative process that uses heat from a specialized kiln to melt and join pieces of glass together. Students will explore this technique while creating their own unique fused glass artwork.
