Class Description
Fall Kids and Family Pottery Wheel Class Tuesdays 4:30-6:30pm September 1 - December 15 (3 month minimum) ***Minimum age is 6 with an adult taking class with them Minimum age for drop off is 7*** No class during MISD breaks (Winter, Spring, Thanksgiving) This is a great class for kids, teens, families wishing to learn and hone the skills of working in a pottery studio with throwing, trimming, hand building, making sets, glazing, underglazing plus all the steps in between. -Students practice creating pottery on the wheel and through hand building -Students become familiar with the tools, techniques, and routines of a ceramic studio -Students develop skills in throwing, glazing, and hand-building clay projects -Weekly enrollment requires a minimum 3-month commitment Clay is available for purchase at the studio for $16–$18 per bag. Glazes and firing for up to 12 finished pieces each month are included.
