Pottery Wheel & Clay Camp June 17-19 Wednesday through Friday 4-6pm, ages 8-18 Kids have hands on fun and make real and useable art with us! First: meet your engaging and happy ceramics teachers and get a quick safety tour. Next: jump on a wheel and start throwing! And: make stuff and have a blast creating original art from clay. Details: everyone will make about 8 items including hand building from a variety of options: clay monster tooth brush holders or planters; jewelry holders; salt dishes; gnome villages; mushroom villages; animals masks (the choice is up to the camper). Everything will be glazed and wrapped and ready for pickup about 3 weeks later - we will text and email for pick up. Expect to make about 8 items in the camp. *we recommend ages 8 and up because throwing on the wheel requires upper body strength and younger kids may find it frustrating. A child as young as 7 may attend if a family member joins the class also and assists as necessary.
