Hey! Do you want to work in our pottery studio and throw some pots on your own personal pottery wheel? Well jump right in and sign up for our Sip and Throw Pottery Party - we make it fun to learn with step by step instruction and plenty of time to work on your own. This single pottery wheel class is perfect for the novice or intermediate student wanting to play and create in a real working ceramics studio. Limited to 10 students. And for your final art piece, we'll be passing out blindfolds for those wanting some extra spice in their lives - fun! Fine details: - Students create 4 items (and keep your best 3) - Studio finishes your work with the glaze of your choice - Pick up 2-3 weeks later (we will call or text to advise) - Wear comfortable clothes, clay washes out of everything - All materials provided - Long hair should be tied back and extra long nails should be trimmed - We're serving wine but feel free to bring your own plus a corckscrew - All attendees need a ticket to attend - Choose your date carefully as we cannot move or alter your date (no refunds offered but feel free to gift your session to a friend if you cannot attend) - Pottery left more than 30 days will be donated to Empty Bowls McKinney - Class is 2 hours but expect 90 minutes of wheel time, 5-10 minutes of set up and 20 minutes of clean up at the end. 4 Week Oil Painting Class with Marie Blocker Tuesdays 1-3pm August 26 - September 16 Adult Learn how to paint with oils; where to start, oil painting basics, foundational practices, underpainting and building the details, composition and leading the eye, color theory and mixing, creating form with shadow and light, florals plus landscapes and still lifes. Students bring -oil painting starter kit with a mix of colors including titanium white, cadium red, ultra marine blue, cadium yellow, burnt umber, -roll of paper towels -mix of oil painting brushes -Linseed oil -metal knife palette A full list of supplies will be available on the first class.
