The Clay Classroom is a beginning pottery wheel and clay class on Fridays 4:30 - 6:30pm Teens and Adults

Single Pottery Wheel Lesson - All Ages (recommended ages 7 and up) A 2-hour single pottery wheel class for all ages - work with Emily to make stuff! Want to work in the pottery studio and throw some pots on your own personal pottery wheel? We make it fun to learn with step by step instruction and plenty of time to work on your own. This single pottery wheel class is perfect for the novice or intermediate student; kids and adults work together in a group class with up to 10 total students. Studio finished your artworks with firing and glazing and packing up for easy pick up 2-3 weeks later. Fine Details - Students create 4 items (and keep your best 3) - Studio finishes your work with the glaze of your choice - Pick up 2-3 weeks later (we will call or text to advise) - Wear comfortable clothes, clay washes out of everything - All materials provided - Long hair should be tied back and extra long nails should be trimmed - Kids ages 8 and up are welcome and need a parent supervising, kids over 13 may be dropped off - All attendees need a ticket to work on the wheel, parent helpers do not need a ticket and will not work on a wheel - Pottery left more than 30 days will be donated to Empty Bowls McKinney - Class is 2 hours but expect 90 minutes of wheel time, 5-10 minutes of set up and 20 minutes of clean up at the end. Jump Into Art Studios also offers SIP and THROW for adults!

The Clay Classroom Wednesdays 4-6pm All ages (minimum age is 8) 7 weeks January 14 - February 25 ****no make up classes available but Emily will send you home with clay for hand building project to be fired at our studio*** -All Supplies included - clay, glazing and firing Jump Into Art Studios has created an all-inclusive 7 week ceramics program with a focus on throwing, trimming, hand building, and making handles along with instructional steps to work with underglazes and glazes (including working with over glazes and creating a personal color palette.) Students average 7-14 completed items in this program. All levels welcome, no experience necessary. Classes are limited to 10 students. Includes all tools and first bag of clay, just bring a personal lap towel to leave on your personal shelf on first day. ​The Clay Classroom has several demographics listed (Adult means adults and people over the age of 18; Kids means kids ages 8 to 18, all ages is minimum age of 8 - mixed group). For a longer ceramics program, consider our ongoing weekly classes (mature teens and adults, only).
