Class Description

Single Watercolor Workshops on Saturdays, 1-4 PM June 7: Mini Masterpieces June 14: Artful Greetings June: 21: Watercolor Fusion July 12: Brush & Blooms July 19: Watercolor on Ceramics June 7: Mini Masterpieces Work with a variety of techniques in this 3 hour program to create small artworks. Work with: wet on wet, wet on dry, scumbling, negative painting, salting, florals, layering, and more. June 14: Artful Greetings Work on 4 hand painted cards perfect to send to a friend or make miniature framed art for your home. All materials included (cards and envelopes). June: 21: Watercolor Fusion Students will be creating a fun and whimsical mix media piece of hanging art. They will be using watercolor on several different paper sources, as well as other mediums for their creation: pages from books, decorative paper, stamps, stencils, etc. July 12: Brush & Blooms Students will be painting floral watercolor treasures to take home. They will learn watercolor techniques to create several different flowers and design options. July 19: Florals on Ceramics Using underglazes as "watercolor", students create a personal palette with mixing, blending and toning to create personal colors for flower designs to paint on to your choice of bisque (single fired ceramics). Studio will dip in clear glaze and fire a second time to add durability and strength to your travel mug, planter or bowl. Students may opt for additional bisque items $25-$45 each (single item is included). Allow 2 -3 weeks to be returned. Join in this super addicting workshop series with Beth Matlock. All materials included (students work on ARCHES COLD PRESSED watercolor papers). Note: Watercolor classes are held in the upstairs Madison Room
